About

Hi! I’m Monica, and I’m so glad you’re here.

Momica’s Musings began years ago when I was a brand-new mom. I’ve always been someone who loves to create, and I wanted a place to share the little moments, ideas, and lessons I was discovering while raising my family. More than anything, I wanted to connect with other women walking through the same season of life.

Life became busy, as it tends to do, but the desire to create never left.

Now I’m bringing Momica’s Musings back with a new purpose: to build a community where women can find encouragement, practical ideas, and simple ways to bring faith into everyday family life. I don’t have all the answers, and I certainly don’t have a Pinterest-perfect home or a perfectly lived faith. What I do have is a heart for sharing the things that have made my life richer as a wife, mom, and woman.

Here you’ll find ideas for celebrating the Catholic faith at home, family traditions, printables, coloring pages, favorite resources I’ve discovered, and glimpses into the everyday joys and chaos of family life. If I can save another mom a little time, introduce her to a meaningful tradition, or help her feel less alone, then this little corner of the internet has done its job.

My Catholic faith is the foundation of everything I do. I wouldn’t be where I am today without God’s grace. I’m far from perfect, but I’ve learned that following Christ isn’t about having it all together. It’s about showing up, trusting Him one day at a time, and inviting Him into the ordinary moments of life. My faith has strengthened my marriage, guided my parenting, and reminded me that God is present in both the celebrations and the struggles.

My Mexican heritage is woven into who I am, too. The music, the food, the dancing, the family traditions, the Spanglish (I’m still working on my Spanish!), and celebrations like Día de los Muertos have shaped the way I see beauty, family, and faith. I love finding meaningful ways to honor both my culture and my Catholic faith and sharing those traditions with my children.

When my kids look back on their childhood, I hope they remember that I was present. I hope they remember laughter around the dinner table, family adventures, celebrations of the saints and seasons of the Church, and a home where God was part of everyday life—not just Sundays. I hope they know they were deeply loved and that faith wasn’t something we simply talked about, but something we tried to live together.

Thank you for being here. Whether you’re looking for inspiration, a printable, a family tradition to try, or simply a reminder that you’re not alone in this beautiful, messy journey, I hope you’ll feel at home here.

I invite you to join me on this journey as we discover where faith, family, and creativity meet in the ordinary moments of life.

Monica, creator of Momica’s Musings

Welcome to Momica’s Musings. I’m a Catholic mom of three who loves creating, learning, and finding meaning in the everyday. I’m sharing the things that help me live my faith, create, and find a little more joy in everyday life—hoping they might do the same for someone else.
