Trick or Treat Pumpkin

Standard

Happy Halloween!  A few years ago I purchased this flexible Trick or Treat basket.  I liked it because at the end of the season it’s easy to put away, just push it down and store it between other items.  It doesn’t take up a lot of space.  Well, I noticed that I have a number of pumpkins as decorations for the Halloween season and thought I’d like to do something a little different than just set it out as itself.

Items needed:

  • 1 Trick or Treat Basket
  • 1 Styrofoam disc
  • 2 Metal hangers
  • 1 bolt cutter (or similar item)
  • 2 pieces of black tissue paper
  • 6 candy bars

Place the styrofoam disc at the bottom of the pumpkin.

Crush the two pieces of tissue paper and place them inside the pumpkin.

Using the bolt cutters (or similar item) cut the metal hangers into 6 equal pieces.

Identify the taller pieces of candy and place tape them to a piece of the metal you just cut and place them towards the back.  Place the shorter candy pieces to the front.

Voila! All done!

Now I can’t wait for Halloween to be over so I can enjoy my Halloween treats.  (If my husband is lucky, I just might share with him, maybe…)
